Heat Wave

First of all, let me just say that it is really nice to be back on here, writing an outfit post. It feels like I have been away from this space for months! I’ve missed it. The truth is, I’ve been completely focused on other goals in this past month, and I’ve put the blog on the back burner a little bit. I can’t promise that my posting will be more regular from now on, because I just don’t know if it will be, but I’m okay with that. Life becomes hectic sometimes, and you just have to keep on rolling. With that said, here are some outfit photos from my trip to Melbourne! We stayed in the suburbs, and this was a stinking hot day. I’m surprised I didn’t melt onto the pavement whilst crossing the road between the house and this beautiful reserve. Pat and I had a blast at the tennis when it finally did cool down, and it helped that we had a beautiful home to stay in (thanks Uncle Les!). I’m itching for another mini adventure sometime soon!

I love this dress because it was so perfect for those crazy heat wave conditions – lightweight, flowy, relaxed, and comfortable. And with the added bonus of a built in bra (score!), I couldn’t have picked a better day to wear this during the trip. I have the same dress in white, which is perfect for any occasion, formal or casual. The details of the criss cross under-bust area were definitely what drew me to this piece. Gorgeous!

Footwear was kept simple with some black studded flats, and just the usual accessories that are pretty much glued to my wrists and fingers. Simplicity is key in 44°C weather.

Dress – Valley Girl
